Suhani Jalota ( Age 23), A founder of Myna Mahila Foundation which is an Indian NGO which was selected prior month for one of the charities. The royal couple Prince Harry and Meghan Markle chose the Myna Mahila Foundation as one of the charities they requested to donate to, in place of sending or giving them wedding gifts.

Meghan married Prince Harry in Windsor at St George’s Chapel; many royal and famous people were invited to attend this royal wedding.  Amid 600 celebrity guests were actress Priyanka Chopra, Oprah Winfrey, George, David as well as Victoria Beckham, Tom Hardy, Elton John, James Blunt, James Corden and Carey Mulligan.

Suhani Jalota came all the way to London from Mumbai to attend the most talked and awaited wedding of the year that is of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. She participated at the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in an elegant and stylish sari designed by Raw Mango.

All along with Suhani Jalota, her colleagues Archana Ambre, Deborah Das and Imogen Mansfield are amid the 1200 members who are invited to this wedding party. Myna Mahila Foundation gives power to women from slum areas by working and running for the door to door awareness program regarding the menstrual hygiene and many other health-related matters. This NGO also offers employment to women by training them to manufacture sanitary napkins.

Women’ empowerment charity manufactures as well as distributes low cost and affordable sanitary napkins to women in Mumbai slums. It is the only non-UK organization selected by the royal couple as beneficiaries of donations instead of the wedding gifts.

Suhani Jalota met Meghan in 2016, the time when she went to offer an acceptance speech at Glamour College women of year awards. Suhani alleged that ‘Meghan is well researched as well as very sincere. The time she came to see us, she not only discussed about women’s empowerment but as she knew her stuff very well.’

Suhani added that Meghan was always concerned and linked in the field of women empowerment and was always wanted to support the work of the organization. She was in the actual continuous source of support to us and to our NGO.

After the royal wedding, all four myna women planned out to tour to sights of London prior to returning back to India and their work in slums of Mumbai.
