Gursharanjot Singh Randhawa aka Guru Randhawa is born on 30th August 1991, to a Sikh family at Noorpur village, a place in Gurdaspur district, Punjab. Hailing from a middle-class family, Guru was good in academics and was also a constant learner.
Guru started practising singing at the age of seven and had always aspired to become a singer.
After completing high school, he moved to Delhi to pursue his further studies. His education includes graduation from the Indian Institute of Planning and Management and holding a Masters in Business Administration degree.

Guru Randhawa: His Becoming
During his childhood, Guru sang in various school competitions and never missed a chance to portray his skills. He had a keen interest in watching television and started growing fond of singing by watching songs that played in them. Guru once won a school competition for having sung 5 different songs.
He wanted to fulfil his passion for singing and wanted to make it his profession. Guru’s debut song as a songwriter was the Same Girl sung by Arjun Coomaraswamy. which was released in 2013
