Chetan Bhagat is an Indian Author. Apart from writing, he is also a popular TV host, columnist, and a screenwriter. Chetan has also achieved success and recognition as a motivational speaker. His Dramatic novels based on the subject of young urban middle-class Indians have gained good acclamation. Most of his works are in English language and writing style.
Bhagat is involved in writing about career development, current affairs, and youth upbringing. Two leading newspapers that cover his writings are; The Time of India for English and Dainik Bhaskar for Hindi. As per his career record, Bhagat has sold more than 7 million copies of his novels, which gave him the title of, ‘The Biggest Selling English Language Novelist in India’s History.’

Talking about Chetan’s early life, Bhagat took birth in New Delhi, India. His parents are proud of him and his success. Chetan Bhagat’s father was in Army as an officer and his mother has worked as a Government employee in the agricultural department. Chetan also has a younger brother named, Ketan Bhagat, who is also a novelist by profession.
To discuss further about his academic studies, Bhagat completed his schooling from The Army Public School, Delhi. He attained his undergraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, specializing in mechanical engineering. Bhagat is also an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Prior to becoming an author, Bhagat has worked as an investment banker in Goldman Sachs, Hong Kong. During his career life, he wrote his first work, ‘Five Point Someone’. Later, he moved to India to pursue his fulltime career in writing.
To share a fact, Bhagat has also performed as a judge in the popular TV dance show, Nach Baliye and Voice of India – Star Anchor Hunt. Looking at his list of achievements, I must say that he has accomplished quite a lot at an early age. The life line of his career hasn’t been this smooth as it seems. Comments, accusations, and critics have never stayed back to criticize his best works. Despite the challenges and hurdles, he did not lose his focus in his writings and beliefs.
His strong writings reflect his thoughts and beliefs. Being a writer myself, I can tell you the level of stress a writer goes through while presenting his hard earned efforts in the best manner possible.
